A Scientifically Validated Leadership Assessment

The Leadership Circle Profile® has been rigorously validated  through extensive psychometric research. According to the Institute for  Psychological Research and Application (IPRA), the LCP is “an internally  consistent, valid measure for leadership development with strong  psychometric properties.” The self-assessment includes 124 questions and  typically takes 15–20 minutes to complete. Participants also receive  confidential 360-degree feedback from supervisors, peers, direct  reports, and stakeholders, along with open-ended developmental insights.

Leadership Circle PULSE™ Survey

As an extension of the Leadership Circle  Profile®, the PULSE™ Survey provides leaders with an ongoing process to  measure leadership growth and sustain developmental progress over time. The PULSE™ process allows professionals to:

  • Track progress toward leadership goals 
  • Measure behavioral change over time 
  • Receive targeted feedback 
  • Reinforce positive leadership habits 
  • Adjust development strategies when needed 

Continuous Leadership Development

The PULSE™ process typically includes three assessments conducted over a 6–12 month period:


Baseline Pulse:  Identifying a “One Big Thing Goal” enables  leaders to begin their  transformative process by selecting a goal that  they believe will have  the biggest impact for moving the needle on  their leadership  effectiveness, or their leadership overall.  


Interim Pulse:  Approximately 3 to 4 months after the Baseline  Pulse, a second Pulse is administered to the leader’s Accountability  Circle.   


Final Pulse:  In this Final Pulse, the current period is assessed,   and viewed along-side the previous Baseline and Interim Pulses, making   it possible to view the whole journey for review.  


After each assessment, clients receive a concise and visually  clear progress report that highlights developmental gains, leadership  trends, and opportunities for continued growth.
